We have recently donated various products to Nottingham university who are trying to raise money for an urgent appeal launched by the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust to secure the future of the Attenborough Nature Reserve.
“My niece, who works at the university, contacted me and explained what she wanted to do and I arranged the products to be sent to her immediately. Nature is a subject very close to my heart and I can’t imagine Attenborough Nature reserve not being there anymore, it would be absolutely devastating for the wildlife”, says Jane Dickinson one of the business partners.
The centre was opened by Sir David Attenborough himself and one million pounds must be raised by the end of this month.
More than 500,000 people visit the nature reserve every year in a bid to see murmurations, kingfishers, as well as the 450 species of plants, 400 moth species, 160 bird species and even 100 species of hoverfly.
